Especially Sieta Equestrian Jeans!
Who doesn’t love a pair of jeans? As far as we’re concerned they’re a wardrobe essential! Going out? Fling them on! Staying in? Fling them on! When in doubt? Fling them on! They’re so versatile and, if you’re like us, you’ll have your good jeans and your horsey jeans (which are usually demoted good jeans when they start to get a bit tatty or lose their colour).
How many of you are guilty of riding in jeans as well? Luckily, we’ve come a long way from the only option being the jodhpur, a design of riding trousers which was adopted by the Brits from India in the late 1800s.
No longer are we restricted to the cream (or black or navy if you were lucky) slightly uncomfortable, probably unflattering jodhs of our childhoods. Now we’re like kids in a sweet store with riding tights, leggings, jeans and everything in between to choose to ride in!
Stylish equestrian jeans are no exception. Just like all jeans, they’re a million miles away from the stiff workwear originally invented by Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss in 1873, and are a true fashion staple. Our personal favourite riding jeans are the Sieta Equestrian Jeans. Just as jeans should be, they’re really versatile; perfect to go from mucking out, to hacking out, to going out (maybe with a wash in between).
Of course, we’re all about comfort here at Comfy Horse, and we can vouch for the fact that this denim is not only super comfortable, but durable too, meaning it can withstand being worn in all weathers at the yard.
Let’s work through the checklist:
✪ Soft, stretchy Denim: tick! An absolute must for hours spent in the saddle.
✪ Discreet silicone grip: tick! Even the best riders need a little extra stickiness sometimes!
✪ Zip fastening: tick! No one likes a pull-on!
✪ Belt loops: tick! A stylish belt always finishes the look.
✪ Stylish five pocket design: tick! You can never have too many pockets.
✪ Smooth lycra ankle cuff: tick! We shudder at the thought of stuffing bulky material into boots.
So there you have it, if you love jeans, you’ll love these. And as someone once said: “In the right denim, a girl can conquer the world”.
