The Christ Lammfelle Cloud Special Plus is the only bareback pad in the range which is covered entirely with lambskin on the underside. The depth of pile in the seat area is 30 mm while the depth on the flaps is 15 mm. Leather rolls with Velcro can be positioned individually between the saddle and sweat flap. Composite foam inserts, a small pommel and a preformed wedge-shaped bolster at the back will ensure the rider sits comfortably and securely.

Christ Lammfelle Cloud Special Plus

Christ Lammfelle Cloud Special Plus bareback pads are made of the finest grade Merino lambskin.

They are skilfully crafted to provide maximum comfort to horse and rider. These bareback pads are supersoft, supple, easy to care for and very hard-wearing.

Total comfort whilst maximising the harmony between you and your horse!

These bareback pads are used with a dressage girth.

There are insert pouches either side of the spine for composite foam padding. This gives extra comfort to both you and your horse. These pads can be removed when washing or for an even closer contact with your horse.

A strong loop is provided at the front of pad to aid balance. This is also great for carrying the pad.

D rings are positioned on the pad for use of a breast plate, crupper and training aids if required.

There are also strong metal D rings to attach stirrups if required to aid balance (D rings are attached to the strong webbing material that is sewn into the pad). The stirrups should not be used to mount as this will cause the saddle to slip.

All the Bareback pads have a foam cantle block (removable when washing) to give support to the rider. Girth straps are made from treated leather.

A rough guide to Bareback pad sizes

The size of the Bareback pad will not actually affect your horse/pony as it is treeless, totally flexible and has no pressure points. The size of pad is determined by the rider, rather than the size of horse/pony.

As a rough guide:

  • Pony size pads suit children and riders up to UK size 10.
  • Full size pads are suited to riders UK size 10/12 and above.

  • Natural (natural undyed lambskin top and bottom with black panels)
  • Charcoal (Dark charcoal lambskin upper, natural underside with black panels)
  • Brown (Dark brown lambskin upper, natural underside with light brown panels)
100% Medical grade Merino lambskin with hard wearing cotton twill.
This bareback riding pad sets new standards in terms of riding feel and riding therapy.
Tests carried out by independent expert riders and riding therapists have confirmed the positive qualities and the effect of this bareback pad on both horse and rider.

Lambskin products are very hard wearing and easy to keep clean. They do not provide a breeding ground for viruses and bacteria, and they neutralize acids and odours. They are naturally dirt resistant.

They have been designed to easily withstand normal washing in the machine at low temperatures and even tumble drying!

We would recommend using a specialist detergent as regular washing powders will strip the natural oils from the hide.
